Media Genesis : Professor Angela Y. Davis is known internationally for her ongoing work to combat all forms of oppression in the U.S. and abroad. Over the years, she has been active as a student, teacher, writer, scholar, and organizer; she is a living witness to the historical struggles of the contemporary era.

Davis' political activism began as a youth in Birmingham, Alabama. In 1969 she came to national attention after being removed from her teaching position at UCLA as a result of her social activism and her membership in the Communist Party, USA. In 1970, she was placed on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted List on false charges, and was the subject of an intense police search that drove her underground and culminated in one of the most famous trials in recent history. A massive international "Free Angela Davis" campaign led to her acquittal in 1972. Harnessing the momentum of that campaign, she co-founded the National Alliance Against Racism and Political Repression, which continues its work today.

Professor Davis has lectured in all 50 states, as well as in Africa, Europe, the Caribbean and the former Soviet Union. She is author of five books including "Angela Davis: An Autobiography" and "Women, Race and Class".

Dr. Ivan Van Sertima : During the European Dark Ages, between the 7th and 14th century AD, the Moorish Empire in Spain became one of the world's finest civilizations.
General Tarik and his Black Moorish army from Morocco, conquered Spain after a week long battle with King Roderick in 711 AD. (The word tariff and the Rock of Gibraltar were named after him). They found that Europe, with the assistance of the Catholic Church, had returned almost to complete barbarism.
The population was 90% illiterate and had lost all of the civilizing principles that were passed on by the ancient Greeks and Romans.
The Moors reintroduced mathematics, medicine, agriculture, and the physical sciences. The clumsy Roman numerals were replaced by Arabic figures including the zero and the decimal point. As Dr. Van Sertima says, "You can't do higher mathematics with Roman numerals."
The Moors introduced agriculture to Europe including cotton, rice, sugar cane, dates, ginger, lemons, and strawberries. They also taught them how to store grain for up to 100 years and built underground grain silos.

BWO : According to an archeologist who recently participated in archeological work in Mexico, One of the most ancient civilizations in the Americas, the Black (Negritic) Olmecs developed a calendar that goes back to about 3,113 years Before Christ.
The ancient "Olmecs" of Mexico and Mesoamerica are one of the most intriguing civilizations of the Americas. In fact, they are the first civilization in Mexico and it was from them that all other civilizations in Mesoamerica followed.

Yet, the fact that the Olmecs were most likely a Black civilization of African origins has not been made public and the "Indian" elements in Mexico have gained more prominence to the extent that the Negroid substrata of the ancient Mexican/Mesoamerican civilizations has been kept hidden.

Yet, over the past many years, various levels of proof have been found linking the "Olmecs" to Africans in the Western part of Africa:

According to a prominent archeologist from the U.S. with firsthand knowledge of an important series of archeological recent finds in Mexico connected to the prehistoric Olmec Civilization, new findings by archeologists from Mexico and other places working in Mexico have found that the most ancient calendar in Mexico was not invented by the Maya but most likely the Afro-Olmecs, a mysterious ancient people whose artwork and as many as 22 collossal stone heads of basalt, looks identical to Africans from the Ghana area of West Africa.

According to one of the scientists who appeared on the Art Bell Show, there was some embarrassment among Mexican archeologists because they thought that the most ancient calendar was that of the Mayas.

The Olmec civilization of Mexico has been studied by a number of people, including West African archeologists from Nigeria, Mali, Ghana and the Cape Verde Region of West Africa. They have examined pottery and terracotta figurines from Mexico and have concluded based on tribal scarification, cornrows and other evidence that the Olmecs with Negroid features were infact West Africans.
This VHS is a Copy I obtained through out my search to build the ultimate knowledge data base.
Since this is a copy it is not the best quality, I only included it because of the intense information contained in this lecture.

HardCore Media : The main point of this lecture is that the operational existence of Black-on-Black in the United States is psychologically and economically mandated by the White American-dominated status quo. The criminalization of the Black American male is a psychopolitically engineered process designed to maintain the dependency and relative powerlessness of the Afrikan American and Pan-African communities.

HardCore Media : Within the nature of European culture there exists a statement of value or of "moral" behavior that has no meaning for the members of that culture. I call this the "rhetorical ethic;" it is of great importance for the understanding of the dynamics of the culture. The concepts of traditional European anthropology are inadequate to explain the phenomenon to which I am referring here, as it has no counterpart in the types of cultures to which anthropologists have generally directed their attention in the past. But with the concept of asili, which facilitates an ideological approach to the study of culture, the rhetorical ethic becomes visible; even compelling. It fits the logic of the European asili, assisting the culture in the achievement and maintenance of power. Without this interpretation certain manifestations within the verbal iconography of the culture appear to be inconsistent with its underlying ideological thrust. And that simply would not make sense. Let us see how the mechanism of the rhetorical ethic works.
